MSAPMOHS217A - Gas Test Atmospheres

Overview
The Gas Test Atmospheres course is a half day course aimed at ensuring the health and safety of personnel who have to undertake work activities within a hazardous atmosphere.

The course provides personnel with information on their responsibilities with regard to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mine Safety, Inspection Act and Duty of Care.

In a typical scenario an individual may be required to carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering a specific area or workspace. The competency requires the person to interpret readings and take actions based on the interpretation.
