The course provides personnel with information on their responsibilities with regard to Duty of Care, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mine Safety and Inspection Act. It provides a guide to planning and managing confined space entries for employees and contractors by utilising the risk assessment process to identify hazards and applying the appropriate controls using Hierarchy of Control. It informs persons of the requirements in rescue, training, isolation, ventilation, atmospheric testing, standby duties and entry permits to the confined space.
This course comprises an equal theory-practical component ensuring all attendees actively participate in confined space entries. This course includes more extensive scenarios and Gas Test Atmosphere requirements.
