

Overview
This course is aimed at any person(s) required to issue confined space permits or control confined space working on a BHIBIO site. This course is NOT Nationally Recognised Training.
PRE-REQUISITE:
1. Satisfactory completion of BHPBIO Confined Space Entrant/Standby Course; and
2. Satisfactory completion of BHPBIO Confined Space Permit Holder Course.

Key Outcomes
Key areas covered include:
Inspect confined space entries in accordance with issue permit.
Identify and apply legislative and BHPBIO requirements.
List the requirements of each type of permit.
Identify, document and control all hazards.
Raise and issue confined space entry permits.
Monitor work for compliance with issued permit.
Withdraw permit in accordance with procedures if required or at end of task.

Trainee/Instructor Ratio: Saferight - Min 4:1 - Max 12:1, On-site location - Min 4:1 - Max 10:1
Clothing:Wear normal work clothing and safety boots.
Please bring own gloves and hard hat.
Please remove all jewellery prior to course.
On-Site Delivery Requirements
Each site must ensure the following:
Site procedures and documentation for confined space working
Suitable classroom
Actual or simulated confined spaces with a minimum of three different entries
Note: If training is carried out on site, the client is responsible for travel and accommodation costs.
