Overview
This course is designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills of
defensive driving techniques, safe driving on a variety of terrains and the knowledge
of 4WD recovery equipment.
PRE-REQUISITE: A current Australian Manual Drivers License (C Class). Licenses must be presented to the Assessor prior to commencement of the course. (Please advise when booking courses if any participants will be on an extraordinary license as particular conditions apply).

Identify 4WD specific terminology and techniques
Environmental impacts when using a 4WD
Identify hazards when using a 4WD
Perform pre-departure checks
Perform maintenance and minor repairs
Operate 4WD as per procedures and clientÕs requirements in various terrains
Recover 4WD while considering risks
Hazards and risks associated with driving
Use a single snatch strap to recover a vehicle
Wheel change including risk assessment
